The prediction of wire slip for locked and meshed
helical wires has been improved to include friction forces at
all wire contact points during FEA of a bent cable. Previously,
only contact forces at the layer inner and outer diameters were
used to determine wire slip.
Static and kinetic friction coefficients are
now defined as material properties instead of as layer loads.
